Step 2: Case color / material

All Shadaloo fightsticks are made out of hardened wood to give the best results. This results in a sturdy casing and adds to a flat paint finish. The dimensions of the case are kept to a minimum while keeping enough room for good hand placement. This results in a case that has the following dimensions (without stick and feet):

Standard size:
- Width 31,8cm (12.5")
- Depth 22,3cm (8.8")
- Height 5,5cm (2.2")

XL size:
 - Width 43,8cm (17.1")
- Depth 22,3cm (8.8")
- Height 5,5cm (2.2")

The Start, Select and Home buttons are flush with the case so they won't be pressed accidentally during those important matches.

Paint
To give the best base for the paint we coat the wooden case with a special epoxy. This epoxy is then sanded to a flat surface before paint will be applied. The paint is than applied in a professional paintbooth to optimize the application and curing of the paint. The case is sanded between the multiple layers of paint to optimize the endresult. The colors are picked from universal RAL colors.

Material

We also offer unpainted wooden casings. These are made from very tough and durable Oak. To make sure that the wood is well protected from the heavy use that the stick will surely endure, we oil the wood. This gives it protection against stains and color fading.
