Step 7 : Grip Type

Shape
The feel of the fightstick is largely influenced by the choice of the grip type. The grip type are available in 3 basic shapes. The standard 35mm balltop, the larger 45mm balltop and the battop. The 35mm. balltops originate from japan and are arguably the most used in fightstick. The 45mm. balltop is specificly for players with large hands and are not advised for gamers with regular shaped hands. The battops are more common in the US and Europeans arcades.

Bubbletop
Besides the shape of the grip there is also the material that defines the grip type. Bubbletops have the same shapes as the full color balltops but are made of a transparant acrylic. Depending on personal taste, the bubbletops may enhance the overall look of the fightstick and show the attention to detail from its designer.
